The Cross and Flame is a registered trademark and the use is supervised by the General Council on Finance and Administration of The United Methodist Church. 

In 1992, when our Pastor Kim Crutchfield and his family left Hopewell to become missionaries in Tanzania, our Church became extensively involved in their mission work.

In 1993, the Church celebrated its centennial with a series of special programs and Worship Services. At the same time, we began an extensive Building Fund Campaign to provide funding for an addition to our Parsonage as well as a connection between the Church and the Fellowship Hall. Construction began the following summer and within a year the parsonage had several new rooms and the two church buildings were joined together.

Our church is a wonderful congregation of loving people who believe and adhere to scriptural Christianity to the best that we can. We worship in a sort-of eclectic style in that we try to combine the traditional Methodist experience with that of a more contemporary style. During our worship we have significant praise times, where we sing choruses, and times of prayer, where the congregation shares individual needs and prayer is offered at the altar.

Rev. Dr. Ken Robinson has been our pastor since 1992. He is a ready source of support and wisdom for all the church families. His ministry is deeply appreciated.
