You can obtain your own
domain name (also known as "web address" or URL) for your
web hosting account at Miller WebWorks. With a domain name,
your web address would be: http://www.yourcompany.com instead of http://www.njwebworks.com/yourcompany/
We can register a domain ending in .com, .org or .net, or
transfer a domain from another provider. New domains are available
for a $40 one-time set-up fee and an additional $5 a month
hosting cost. This doesn't include the registration fees with
PairNIC, the domain registrar we use, which are $20 a year
($15 a year less than with InterNIC).
To see if the new name you want is available, type the domain
name into this form:
Domains mapped to an account may be pointed to any directory.
By default, they point to the top of the account's Web directory.
You can host multiple sites in a single account by mapping
additional domain names to subdirectories of the account's
space, provided you will be maintaining all of the sites
yourself.
All e-mail addressed to domains hosted by pair Networks
comes to the mailbox of the hosting account. There is no
additional charge for this global delivery and optional
forwarding. With a Basic account or better, you can use
advanced forwarding to separate out different addresses
for different recipients.
