Each Miller WebWorks
account includes one mailbox, that can be accessed using a
POP3 mail client (such as Eudora or Outlook Express). All
WebWorks mailboxes can be accessed online using the WebMail
Login , regardless of account type.
Your account mailbox will receive all mail addressed to
any domain names on the account, regardless of username.
For instance, if you had the domain name example.com,
you would receive mail at any of the following:
sales@example.com
support@example.com
president@example.com
anythingyouwant@example.com
and any other username. No configuration is needed on
your part -- this is enabled by default.
You can also send mail as coming from any address in your
domain name, regardless of your actual account username.
This is done through the settings in your POP3 mail software.
Mailboxes with separate usernames and passwords, such as
for other members of your organization, are called Virtual
Mailboxes.
A Virtual Mailbox can be added to your account through
Account
Control Center. The steps required to
add a mailbox are:
- Log in to the Account
Control Center.
- At the top of the screen click Mail.
- Under Mailboxes, click Create New Mailbox.
- Enter the configuration information that you would like
to use for the new mailbox, and click Add Mailbox at the
bottom of the page.
Follow the above steps once for each mailbox that you
want to set up. The new mailbox will be active within 15
minutes. Among the details that you specify when setting
up a Virtual Mailbox are:
- Username. This is a receiving address for the
mailbox (username@example.com). It is also the login name
that you use with your POP3 mail client or WebMail
Login. Note that a Virtual Mailbox username
cannot be the same as your main account's login name.
- Password. This is the password used to check
the Virtual Mailbox in a POP3 mail client or WebMail
Login.
- Full Name. This is the person the mailbox is
set up for. It does not affect the receiving address or
username. You would still be able to configure the outgoing
name in your POP3 mail client or WebMail
Login to be something else.
- Receiving Address. This can be used in several
different ways. If you only want the mailbox to receive
e-mail to one address in your domain name, put the same
value as Username for the Receiving Address.
If you would like the mailbox to have two addresses in
your domain name, enter a unique Receiving Address
that is different from the Username. Lastly, you
can have this mailbox receive all mail for its domain
name, by leaving the Receiving Address box blank.
Use these settings to check your Virtual Mailbox through
a POP3 mail client:
- Username and Password - these are the same as the ones
that you used when you set up the mailbox.
- POP3 server - this is mail.example.com (where example.com
is the domain name used for the mailbox).
- SMTP server - the outgoing mailserver for your ISP.
To check a Virtual Mailbox using the WebMail
Login, use these settings:
- username@domain - use the mailbox username and the domain
name associated with it.
- Password - the mailbox password.
Your account also includes the ability to forward maill
to other e-mail addresses you might have, and to set up
autoresponders to answer certain e-mail addresses. The powerful
Account
Control Center makes custom e-mail configuration
fast and easy.
