Rich, a veteran business journalist, is the founding editor and president Data Center Knowledge, a five-year-old online news site covering the data center industry. in our Data Center Knowledge venture, he was joined by Kevin Normandeau, an experienced Internet advertising executive.

Colleen, formerly of The Pew Charitable Trusts, also joined the team to increase the visibility and expand the Data Center Knowledge brand. Additionally, Colleen assists non-profit organizations with strategic consulting in the online space as well as in the development of digital content.

What is a Datacenter?

In case you don’t know, Wikipedia defines a data center (or data centre or datacentre) as “a facility used to house computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems. It generally includes redundant or backup power supplies, redundant data communications connections, environmental controls (e.g., air conditioning, fire suppression) and security devices.”

These facilities are important to the growing digital economy. The Data Center Knowledge site connects vital news and information about data center facilities and the companies that run them with the appropriate audiences.
